The convertible powered system includes a 120 V power supply and/or a battery pack (4 AA batteries-included and replaceable) that has low battery indication by double audible beep when opening/closing damper. The register damper includes gasketed or non gasketed blades and a register cover. This system is ideal for hard to reach locations (such as under a vanity) and for those who experience physical challenges or anyone that would like to be able to easily control air flow from their registers.

System Elements

N/A Control Box Floor/Wall Grill Motor

N/A The C450 Floor/Wall grill system is based on wireless operation.
The system is composed of Control board, Infrared Receiver, Infrared Remote control, Motor assembly and Power supply Adapter or Battery pack with 4 AA size 1.5 Volts batteries.
The main task of the system is to open or close the grill in air duct system.
This controller is operated by an IR Receiver that receives infrared signals from I/R hand-held remote Control.

  • The system gets power both from either the line voltage adapter or from the battery pack.
  • Depending on the kit that was ordered, Plug either the line voltage adapter or the battery pack into the control box socket.
  • Install the Floor damper. Be sure the mechanical moving parts are free from interference.
  • Install the Infrared receiver in a place where it can be seen from the outside.
  • Test, Use the hand-held remote control to operate and test the operation.
  • Check that the damper moves from full open to full close position.

N/A To operate the damper, press the button on the remote. It will beep and the motor will move.
Press the button a second time and the direction will reverse.
It is a cyclic operation.
Every press on the button gives opposite direction command to the damper.(If it is closed - it will open. If it open - it will close.)

  • Infrared Wireless Remote
  • Infrared Receiver may be placed with the damper or in location easily accessible for the infrared remote
  • 120 V Power Supply and/or battery pack (4 AA)
  • Battery Pack low indication audible signal
  • Ability to easily control air flow with the touch of a button
  • Open/Close Grill damper
  • Wireless system.
  • Operation from 120 Volts Adapter or battery pack (with low battery indication)
  • System operates the same, using Line voltage adapter or Batteries pack

N/A If the batteries of the Damper Motor are low, When the remote control sends a command, the buzzer will beep twice instead of once, replace the batteries in the battery pack.

If the battery at the remote control is low, you can send command from a shorter distance to the Grill. Then replace the battery with CR2032 coin battery.
